Mosaic Fabrics: What should be the best patterns for 2020?

Mosaic Fabrics is all about creating a fun experience when shopping for fabric, including the cotton prints and printed fabric that we offer. Mosaic has really pretty fabric selections, and we know you have a choice when you look for fabric. We offer fabric in popular character prints of superheroes and other fabrics in solid colors. We also offer prints like animal prints - cat prints and dog prints, and ladybug fabric, for example.

During the pandemic, fabric has become hard to find right now, due to shipping delays. Large and small fabric stores are out of fabric because they have sold out. Mosaic Fabrics has a solid amount of inventory of fabric. We have wonderful cotton plaids, flannels, and solid colors, like quilting cottons and lovely batiks in many colors like black, blue, purple and pinks, as well and light blue and grey for you to purchase.

Mosaic Fabrics is also stocking flat and round elastic in black and white for those who are making masks for friends and family during the pandemic. Mosaic Fabrics owner Laura LeMond launched Mosaic Fabrics in 2020 because she had lots of
fabric in her warehouse. Laura was one of the founders of the weighted blanket industry in 2012, and during her time with the company made many choices regarding picking sharp fabric combinations for kids and adult designs for her weighted blankets. She realized it was an opportunity to leverage her knowledge of fabric design and shapes to add an extra offering for her fabric customers.

One side effect of the pandemic of 2020 is that many people who are staying at home during this time have gotten out their sewing machines and started sewing again. They are making clothes, home decor, masks, purses and other items that you would normally purchase in a store. Patterns and quilting cottons and kits are flying out of the door. America, self reliant by nature and responded to this crisis and the expected boredom of being safe at home by going back to skills that they learned from a parent or from their grandmother. It’s a sign of our early
American roots. So… why not sew?

Many Mosaic Fabrics customers are using this opportunity to trot out these skills and teach them to their children. It’s a nice time for the family in that way. Buy some fabric, start up your sewing machine, and teach away, and create something, let’s see what you can come up with!

We hope the ideas which we shared, can inspire you and encourage you to consider Mosaic Fabrics when looking for fabric and elastic. You are welcome to explore our blog posts on a regular basis for upcoming trends and information.
